There are SOOOOO many ingredients in this world and SOOOOO many opportunities to tweak the flavor of a dish by using a little of this or a little of that. But, the classic recipes that I’m talking about pretty much taste the same wherever you go. I’m thinking mostly of party foods when I make this statement. So, what would I put on that list? I don’t think we’ve made a drink (alcoholic or otherwise) since our 12 Days of Beverages Challenge around Christmas time, and we are well overdue. I whipped this drink up a few weekends ago for National Margarita Day. That’s certainly not a holiday that my margarita loving self could let slip through my fingers! And let me tell you, I am obsessed. Let’s not be stingy folks… So, you all know that I have a problem with collecting more kitchen gear than I’d ever need. Recently, I have this obsession with this brand of punny serveware called Mud Pie. I really need to move on to something new. It’s way overpriced, you have to hand wash everything (which I hate!), and the designs are really very basic with white ceramic and black lettering. BUT, the phrases are so cute! I’ve told you guys before that I have a house full of peanut butter lovers, and I am the leader of the pack. I can’t even reach into the back of my pantry without Bisco losing his little mind, because he knows that’s where mama keeps the good stuff. I’m a member of this online supper club, and I recently posed a question to them about pairing avocado and peanut butter together after reading that this is a fairly popular combo. So in the spirit of research, I was nominated to test out this odd food combo. And honestly, it was fine. I wasn’t disgusted, but I wasn’t enamored.

Green Eggs and Ham Cups

We're talking about Sam-I-am and his friend who didn't like his green eggs and ham today, because today is Dr. Seuss' birthday! How crazy is it to think that Dr. Seuss' books have been entertaining children (and adults) around the world for over 60 years?!? Dr. Seuss is such a staple in every household. I don't know that I can pick a favorite Dr. Seuss book. But, I do have a favorite quote of his. “Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened.” I've always loved this quote, and it wasn't until a few years ago that I learned it was a quote from Dr. Seuss.
