May 30, 2020 by Nicole Collins You guys ever feel like you’re the busiest person in the world while also feeling like you have absolutely nothing to do? That’s been me lately. It’s extra ironic, because it’s not like I’m out and about on the town or anything. I’m just here at home doing the same old thing. But at the same time, I feel like the days are zooming by and I have no extra time. Does that make any sense? Or am I just suffering from some kind of quarantine time warp? I’ve been working on so many new recipes lately, that I have a solid list on standby to share with you. It’s all just a matter of getting them typed up and to your computer screens. So, thanks for being patient with me
May 12, 2020 by Nicole Collins So, what are you guys binge watching these days? I’ve been making my way through Netflix, Hulu, and Disney+. How about you? I also just touched a book for the first time last week since we’ve been locked at home which feels a little weird. But, I get like that sometimes. Books require too much brainpower for me when times are tough or when I’m going through a funk, so I tend to turn to tv and movies which have already done the imagining for me. When I first tested this recipe (which seems like AGES ago, but it was really only like a month or two ago); I was binge watching Love is Blind. Since then, I’ve watched Outer Banks (AMAZING), Little Fires Everywhere (EX
May 8, 2020 by Nicole Collins Having a favorite recipe is like having a favorite kid. Or, so I would imagine. We all know we’re supposed to love our babies the same. And, we all definitely do (wink, wink). But, you just can’t help but be more drawn, more sensitive to, or more completely smitten by just a little bit with one over the other. Sometimes, it gets to a point where you just have to own it. If someone were to ask me who my favorite pup was, I’d certainly very politely say all of them like I’m supposed to. But, we all know I’d be thinking Bisco. So as someone that creates recipes, these recipes are my babies too. They all come from my heart, my soul, and my mind. They’re a piece of m
May 4, 2020 by Nicole Collins I've got sunshine, on a cloudy day. And, thank freaking goodness. Because, we've had A LOT of cloudy days here lately. And rainy days. And cold days. And gloomy days. Now that we're out of April, maybe the rain will finally stop. It's been kind of promising these last couple of days. One can only hope. So I was perusing on Instagram the other day as I often do these days, and I saw a picture of these little key lime cheesecake desserts in the cutest jars on earth. The dessert looked delicious too, of course. But, I have a one track mind when I see kitchen gear that I must have. Of course I did the only thing I could do, and I went on the hunt to try to find thos
May 2, 2020 by Nicole Collins Happy accidents... Gotta love them! Today's recipe is actually a result of a happy accident, so you're REALLY gonna love them after you see what's happening today! So with the stay home orders in place, I've really been making every effort to keep my behind inside. For the most part, that's not a problem. But, the only thing that I really miss is the grocery store. I've been going to the grocery store myself about once every 3 weeks to get meats and produce. But other than that, I've done a couple supplementary Instacart orders to get supplies like eggs, milk, bagged produce, and things like that. Now, anyone who knows me knows how much I love grocery shopping.
